Reverse Osmosis (RO) System

Assist the facility to mitigate their “Lead Action Level Exceedance” under the Lead and Cooper Rule (LCR)”

The task was divided into three major categories:

1.Treatment optimization

  • Collect and review historical data from the treatment plant

  • Evaluate and replaced RO membranes

2.Distribution network Mitigation

  • Review current corrosion control strategy

  • Provide new corrosion control and monitoring strategies

  • Data collection to validate treatment changes

3.End users piping and accessories investigation.

  • Langelier Saturation Index (LSI)

  • Develop LSI data collection and control strategy

Sequencing Batch Rector (ICEA) System

Mitigation of high Nitrate, Bac-T positives, and pH control issues

•Review current sequencing batch rector (ICEA) cycle per batch

•Evaluate BOD/COD concentration and its impact on denitrification process

•Improve BOD and TSS removal,

•Optimized Nitrification and de-nitrification, processes

•Troubleshooting Slow Sludge

•Created process control worksheet

MBBR

The Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) system is considered an Advanced Wastewater Treatment (AWT), which combines the best of Conventional Activated Sludge (CAS) and biofilter processes, making use of suspended biomass and attached biomass.

The beverage wastewater obtained during the energy drink production and cleaning operations is a residue that is characterized by a high content of organic matter and hydrocarbon compounds which contribute to its biodegradability, normally allowing the use of biological processes for the treatment of these effluents.
